THE STORY.

Diana "ladidai" Umana is a content consultant, multimedia journalist, and creator based in New York City, known for innovative work at the intersection of music, technology, and the creator economy.

Her work has led her to partner with TikTok, NYLON, Amazon, TIDAL, and Business Insider. A multi-genre songwriter from Yonkers, NY, her music has been licensed to Fox, NBCUniversal, BET, and Warner Chappell.

🏆 Recognition

ASCAP Foundation Harold Adamson Lyric Award for Rhythm & Soul, 2018 — for outstanding achievement in songwriting.

She led content and social for HRDRV and nonprofit Gender Amplified, then spearheaded strategy for Ashanti's onchain music collection — $100K+ sold in a single day in March 2022.

In 2023, ladi co-launched the Amazon-recognized "Hear Us Out" podcast. In 2024, she completed the inaugural ONE Creator Lab. In 2026, she joined as an inaugural member of the USC Charlotta Bass Journalism & Justice Lab Advisory Board.
